Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Mr. Jay Young (Mutant Cel Productions)

To Whom It May Concern:

Jay and I worked together for the first time during his employment with Vicarious Visions, on a game project for THQ Inc., namely Powerrangers: Timeforce. For this project I was the project coordinator, and Jay was the lead character modeller/animator. During this project I came to appreciate Jay's speed of work, his insightful vision and dedication. When Jay left Vicarious Visions I gave him the opportunity to work with us, giving him two responsibilities: to represent my company in the United States area, and to create new innovative game concepts that we could propose to publishers around the globe. For both tasks given, Jay proved to be a motivated and hardworking associate, and a talented concept writer.

I was quite impressed by Jay's work, on the Powerrangers game project, but especially on his later duties as conceptwriter and character modeller. The concepts we worked on together were written in an unusual complete and thorough way, and needed little rewriting going from draft to final. It is clear to me that Jay's experience has helped him to think to-the-point and adopt essential game-related issues in both his production as creative work.

Recently Engine Software had invited Jay to work with us by contributing characters for a high profile game.   The character met our specifacations perfectly with little need for revision, which Jay handled promptly.

Overall, Jay is a very motivated and dedicated employee, whose experience and skills are above average. I certainly believe he has what it takes to make a more than useful addition to any team, and his ability to work on both the production part and the creative part is a valuable asset. I strongly recommend Jay and his production company Mutant Cel Productions, for any position within a game development team where 2D graphic design, 3D modelling or creative design is required.
